Because of our animalistic instincts, and how we interpret/use those instincts based on what we have learned of our world, we automatically interpret something that is “human like” as something to react to “as if it is human”. When mixed to knowing that it isn’t human, it is one possible road to “going crazy” (which no one wants, and kids are still fairly immune to but more dangerously affected by).

No offense, Mark, but how does that mailman robot count as a mannequin? It was moving, talking and wasn’t harming a fly until Jackie crashed in and literally beat the crap out of it!! Seeing him pull the “Gregory…” line in Freddy’s voice made it OBVIOUS that he figured out the truth before finishing the game. But what I don’t get is what is making the robots attack this guy if the Mimic is using suits?
