I don't think Karen is a bad person, and I'm glad she's not getting a long prison sentence. The police were horribly misogynistic, probably because she's petite and pretty. However, the car's black box and John's phone and app data showed that he and his phone stopped moving for good the second after she did a fast reverse, probably just to speak with him. The data tells the entire story. But I believe it was an complete accident, and I believe she had no idea whatsoever how badly he was injured. It was a tragic mishap, so a prison sentence is too harsh, in my opinion. I am glad that she's getting another chance at life. I believe John would want her to be happy. I hope she takes this second chance to address her alcohol and anger-management issues, because she will live a better life if she does. I also hope that the civil trial fails, because in my opinion, being pursued for money for the rest of your life is also too harsh. God bless her; she's suffered enough. It was JUST an accident.

Dr. Read, you are the embodiment of what it means to be an amazing father. Thank you and your family for standing by Karen. I do grieve for John and his family, they deserve justice and ANSWERS. I am just grateful that Karen finally received HER justice after being wrongfully accused for more than three years.

God bless Mr.Reed and your daughter. Your a marvelous human and father. I cried today watching her trial. I am so happy at long past to be found not guilty. I think she is an amazing woman and her case spoke to so many people myself included at so many levels. This misogyny in this case was off the charts as it often is in America. Woman heard this it hot home. I send so many prayers for her journey forward healing and having time to mourn . She is a strong , beautiful, and intelligent young lady. I respect her fight for the truth and wish all of you peace. God bless and much love from Boston. ❤️

Eh Karen ain't no angel. Those texts messages showed how manipulative and toxic she was, esp being as educated as she is. Im not sure if she did it or not but based off evidence I wouldn't have been able to find her guilty either.

Its obvious what happened. The jurors are picked from that community. And that community, Blue, dislikes or distrusts police. It's as simple as that. Discrimination. No amount of evidence would have convicted her. This wasn't a victory, it was a failure of justice because of prejudice. All the jurors needed was a defense attorney to tell them what they wanted to hear, and Jackson did just that. Had this trial been in a Red community, it would have been an easy guilty. This is just another failure among the Blues.

Does anyone know where Mr Read grew up? I’d swear that we were teammates in 1959 & 60 on a Red Sox little league team at North Park in Fall River, Massachusetts, 65 yrs ago.
